Recently, friends of mine have had the aweful experience of being robbed, and even the worse heacache of trying to find receipts so that they can make a claim with their insurance. Just like most of us, we really don't think it will happen to us and we don't keep good records of what we have. We have an idea in our head what we paid for it, or what all we even have, but that doesn't satisfy the insurance company, nor reimburse you for the money you have now lost.
Make doing an inventory of your homes contents one of your priorities for 2012. I hope that none of you ever have to go thru the experience of a theft, fire or tornado, but you will be thankful you took the time to do this if it does happen to you.
